Carrie Spoon family

Carrie B. Spoon (1894-1981) was the oldest child of John Alvin Spoon and Laura Jane Smith. She was also the first family member to move from
Kansas to California , moving west with her husband in 1918. She was an optometrist in Southern California for many years.

 

	Carrie Spoon poses in a fur coat and hat in 1942. Remembered by family members as quite a character, she always had a smile and cheerful words for her relatives at holiday gatherings.
	Delbert Hooker, the adopted son of Carrie Spoon Hooker, lives in the Midwest now but enjoyed many wonderful times with the Spoon family.
