Alvin Spoon family

Alvin Lee Spoon (1902-1994) was the fifth child of John Alvin Spoon and Laura Jane Smith. He was born on the family farm in
Luray, Kansas and moved to California with his family in 1920. After living several decades in
Alhambra, Calif., he died at a nursing home in nearby Rosemead

	This is Alvin's graduation photo from Alhambra High School in 1923. He graduated the same year as his younger brother Adrian, going back to complete his studies after leaving school twice to go to work.
	Alvin and his wife, the former Sarah McComb, are seen at one of the Spoon family Christmas Eve gatherings. Sarah died in 1996
	Alvin left Kansas with his family in 1920, but that didn't keep him from returning for a visit to the family farm years later and posing with his automobile
	Donna Spoon was about a year old when someone placed her in uncle Floyd Spoon's invention, a laundry basket, in 1928. Donna and her husband, William DeMayo, live in Southern California.
